Executive Chef - Camilo Aguirre

Executive chef at Alma Cocina with over 18 years of industry experience. Marrying his passion for creating memorable experiences with finding ways to incorporate color, new techniques and flavors, Aguirre makes his mark on contemporary Mexican and Latin American cuisine through his love for traditional ingredients and French techniques.

With high school dreams of one day joining the restaurant industry, Aguirre followed his passion to the culinary program at Gwinnett Technical College, where he graduated in 2004. Aguirre began his career with Buckhead Life Restaurant Group before working his way up to sous chef at Atlanta Athletic Club and at Ford Fry’s Rocket Farm Restaurants. He then refined his skills and gained knowledge of the catering culinary scene as executive sous chef of Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.

Outside the kitchen, chef Aguirre - fluent in both French and Spanish - loves spending time with his wife and two kids, playing board games and dining out.
